Campetella Robotic Center invites business and media representatives to attend the Campetella Robotics Calling event.

The company will be holding it at its manufacturing facility in Montecassiano, Italy, as part of an open house month starting on October 1, 2020. It is expected that the main interest of guests will be focused on two specialized models that meet all the requirements of the Industry 4.0 concept.

The Campetella Mini-MODULA compact side-connected robot from the X series is used to label PP yoghurt cups during the production process - directly in the mold, i.e. using IML. The device is equipped with a fast and compact horizontal manipulator, which is responsible for feeding labels and removing finished products. The products are placed on the conveyor belt with the opening facing downwards, thus maintaining hygiene requirements. Additional advantages of the Mini-MODULA include its compact design and the ability to work together with CO1 Cartesian, a new member of the same X series. Its manipulator is excellent for removing stacks of finished products from the conveyor and placing them in containers.

The production cell is built around a hybrid injection molding machine Arburg Allrounder 570 with a clamping force of 180 tons. It is equipped with a 4-cavity mold from the French company Simon. The full working cycle time does not exceed 2 s. The labels are produced by the renowned Italian supplier Viappiani. Cup characteristics: height 43 mm; diameter in the upper part 73 mm; weight 4 g.

The high-speed industrial robot Mini-MODULA also demonstrates high efficiency when used in the IML process associated with the Viappiani labeling of plastic cheese containers in a 4-cavity mold made by Bazigos and mounted on an Arburg 630 H hybrid injection molding machine with a clamping force of 230 t The working cycle length is 4 s. Preliminary preparation of polymer raw materials (PP) is carried out using auxiliary equipment supplied by Moretto. The quality of manufactured products is continuously monitored using four Mevisco cameras installed on the line. After removing the finished products, the robot arm rotates around its axis to place them upside down on the conveyor belt, as required by hygiene standards. Another robot from the X series - SPIN3 Scara, the principle of operation of which resembles the movements of a human hand - it takes stacks of boxes with labels applied and puts them in a shipping container; he will then be taken to another Omron AMR warehouse. Product characteristics: length 132 mm; width 89 mm; height 33 mm; weight 7.55 g.

Campetella has relied on lightweight construction to design its robots, using special materials originally developed for the automotive and aerospace industries. The finished devices are characterized by absolute precision, reliability, durability and very high speed of operation.

The Campetella Robotics Calling event kicks off on October 1 at 10 a.m. with a 25-minute multimedia presentation, in which guests will learn about the specifics of the company, about the professionals working in it and about the huge potential in the development of industrial automation products. For security reasons, the following restriction has been introduced: no more than 40 visitors per day, who will be divided into as small groups as possible. Guided tours of the workshops are planned so that the participants can get an idea of the manufacture of components for promising robots, their subsequent assembly and practical tests, including observing the operation of two systems associated with IML.
