Industrial chillers with inverter and integrated free cooler MR-H/FC MR-M/FC

— the last series of machines designed and produced by Green Box offer two functions in one cabinet: the chiller function and the free-cooler function. The main advantage of this type of machines is the extremely easy installation, exactly similar to a standard chiller: in fact there is one inlet and one outlet for the water circuit and only one electrical connection.

A very important characteristic of this range is related to the fact that all the models are equipped with two rows of fans, one of the rows is dedicated to the free-cooler and the other row is dedicated to the chiller.

This MR-H/FC series combines the traditional chiller with an additional air/water heat-exchanger FC,  to assure a considerable energy saving whenever  the ambient air  temperature  allows  to cool  the process water.

There are three possible operating ways:

  • highest energy saving, when the integrated Free-Cooler covers the complete thermal load
  • partial energy saving, thanks to the two independent rows of fans, when the integrated Free-Cooler covers partially the required thermal load and the remaining thermal load is covered by the chiller
  • fully operating as chiller, when the ambient air temperature is the same or higher than the  process water temperature, therefore it is not possible to use the Free-Cooler

The passage from one to the other way of operation is fully automatic and it is controlled by a  three-way valve.

This is the best way to grant high reliability to the system and easy cleaning of the finned coils both of the chiller and of the free-cooler.

The basic series, which includes 8 models with cooling capacity from 76 to 302 kW, is characterized by a reduced price .

The commutation from operating as a free-cooler to operating as a chiller (and viceversa) is fully automatic and it is operated by a Siemens 3-way valve, controlled by a differential thermostat .

There is also an extremely high efficiency series MR-H/FC INVERTER.
