Magnetic grids are used to transport raw materials to catch accidentally trapped metal magnetic impurities and various inclusions from ferrous metal (black metal particles, fragments, chips, etc.) to prevent damage to process equipment.
Magnetic grid is usually placed in the loading zone: material receiver, storage tanks, i.e. in the container through which the material passes before entering the process machine. The material, passing through the magnetic grid, leaves metallic inclusions on the magnetic grid, followed by manual or mechanical removal during the process maintenance. Thus, the risk of getting metal into the processing machine is eliminated.
There are several types and sizes of magnetic metal catchers suitable for any process and product.
